Sundays with Christ

For Children and Teens

Each Sunday morning will begin with all of our young members meeting together in the Gathering Room of the Youth Center for liturgy, music, praise, prayer, and the introduction of the day's Bible story. Members of the congregation who have musical gifts will lead the combined classes in a musical activity.

For the first semester of this Sunday School Year, we will meet and learn about many of the individuals whose stories appear in the Old Testament. The study will focus on Bible stories, with a biographical emphasis.

At the completion of the combined Opening Service, all ages will divide into their age groups to continue the morning's study: 4-7 year olds, 8-12 year olds, and teens. The age divisions are approximate; individuals move from one class to the next according to their readiness for the next age group. If you have a concern about the class to which your youngster is assigned, please email Carole Geiger.

Please note: Always check to make sure that Sunday School is meeting as scheduled when you bring your children to Sunday School. We are very short-staffed and regret that on some Sundays we may not have any staff member available to work with the children. On some Sundays we may find it necessary to work with all ages in a combined class. (We welcome new members to our staff at any time! Contact Carole Geiger if you would like to share in this wonderful mission with our children and teens.)
